Constant hype about sub par band is slowly killing me. It’s like the Candy Man, if i don’t look at them they will go away and die. Music existed and worked well enough before these social network sites and the internet even, so why do bands need to flaunt themselves on every site available. It used to be you went to a gig to check out a new band or pick up a track off a zine comp or whatever, which made finding a new band so much more rewarding. Now it seems everyone whores the shit out of the internet, constantly spamming (usually about what one band member ate at lunch or they got sooooo wasted) boring, vague posts about fuck all.
I am old, i moan alot. But over hype is a turn off.
